In both the podcast and in his post Patrick argues that there has been “little-to-no real innovation or re-think since they (e-mail clients) were first invented.” Patrick suggests that his ideal e-mail client should open with a blank slate ready for the user to compose their e-mail. When finished, the user could enter the address of the recipient followed by the subject line. His post includes a drawing of what it should look like.
