Recent Experience

Most recently I led design efforts at Prism. fm, with a focus on pushing the boundaries of user experience, spearheading projects from ambiguous problems, and honing in on clear impactful solutions. Our mission was to redefine how venues, promoters, and agencies manage events and finance in the live music industry.

At Prism, I led design initiatives coming out of a Series A round of funding that merged creativity with functionality, ensuring our platform—not only—looked great but also served its users seamlessly; and, most importantly working toward profitability. I crafted projects across the full design spectrum—from uncovering insights and prototyping to final implementation—with an eye toward enhancing user engagement and business outcomes. Navigating Jira backlogs and working closely with engineers and stakeholders, ideas were translated into tangible results, delivering user-centric solutions that drive real value.

Achievements

During my time I helped unlock three key markets for the business that will hopefully lead to greater sales not only in total MRR/ARR for the company but also greater ACV. My time ended 9 months after the 2024 round of Series B funding.

Previous experience

Before Prism.fm, I honed my skills with an agile innovation lab team at USA Today Network, where I designed diverse projects for both the audience readership and internal tooling for newsroom staff reaching over 200 internal newsrooms and millions of audience members resulting in a major growth of total annual ad revenue and decreased operating cost expenditures.

Teaching and mentorship

Additionally, I recently taught agile software development at local Tennessee Tech University, empowering students with the practical knowledge they need to succeed in today's fast-paced development world of computer science whilst designing and shipping a product MVP for real-world clients.
